Yeah, you'd have thought I'd be all over the "Ping" wouldn't you?

I tried, couldn't get them right. I might go back and do them when I'm a bit better with the masking tape

Just waiting for the paint on the aerials to dry before putting a coat of gloss vanish on .
Decals will hopefully start going on tuesday ;)

Surely a discount would be available for purchasing a squadrons worth!

Nice looking kit!

I could do with one to continue my own CWJ collection

Is it cheaper with the wings folded?

I went to something similar a few years ago. I realised how bad my models were!

Well I have now started my next project a Typhoon which will be as accurate as I can make it. It will be a 3 sqd aircraft as they were the ones that started at Warton while I was involved with writing the Technical Manuals for the Typhoon and I spent time with them and on their aircraft.

This is far as I have got, the next stage is to fill in gaps, smooth down and then paint as I assemble the main parts. I have checked with a contact of mine what weapons they will carry and on what pylons. I intend leaving the canopy open, the refuel probe out and the airbrake open.

I have three two Mikes resin kits to date, which are the two inboard pylons, a realistic APU exhaust and two red intake covers. I also have two Edourd kits, one is etched parts and the other is pre-cut masks for canopy, windscreen & wheels, should make painting easier.

How long do you think that lot will take?

XPL, to be quite honest it will probaly take me a couple of months, as I am away for 3 days next week and I don't want to rush it and muck it up. Also those etched metal parts are really small and need the use of super glue, so I am into new territory this time, also my eyes are a bit tired for this close up work :( .

and don't forget it's an aviation project, so you can multiply the time estimate by three and the cost by six. :))
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Sooty655 :-o =)) . XPL, I will try to get photos at each major stage, the only thing I have to locate is some 1/48 scale Paveway IVs, as against the Paveway 2s in the kit.

Can't wait to see that O.R.!! My 1:72 airfix Bucc is coming along nicely. The kit is awful quality though, loads of filling and sanding to do.

Cheers Gaz, the revell kit is not to bad for fit, allthough the intakes will need a little bit of work. I find I am rubbish at sanding filler down so it does not show when painted, I am also hoping to utilise the new airbrush a bit more than I did for the Nimrod. What make is the Buccaneer and scale? also any pictures? Unless I have missed them earlier.
