Old Rigger wrote:Well I have now started my next project a Typhoon which will be as accurate as I can make it. It will be a 3 sqd aircraft as they were the ones that started at Warton while I was involved with writing the Technical Manuals for the Typhoon and I spent time with them and on their aircraft.
This is far as I have got, the next stage is to fill in gaps, smooth down and then paint as I assemble the main parts. I have checked with a contact of mine what weapons they will carry and on what pylons. I intend leaving the canopy open, the refuel probe out and the airbrake open.
I have three two Mikes resin kits to date, which are the two inboard pylons, a realistic APU exhaust and two red intake covers. I also have two Edourd kits, one is etched parts and the other is pre-cut masks for canopy, windscreen & wheels, should make painting easier.

Old Rigger wrote:XPL, to be quite honest it will probaly take me a couple of months, as I am away for 3 days next week and I don't want to rush it and muck it up. Also those etched metal parts are really small and need the use of super glue, so I am into new territory this time, also my eyes are a bit tired for this close up work.

. XPL, I will try to get photos at each major stage, the only thing I have to locate is some 1/48 scale Paveway IVs, as against the Paveway 2s in the kit.
