About 7 Minutes if placed on the ground under the ECM blister with the X-Band ECM running!5 minutes if the L-Band is running too ;)

We couldn't run either the ECM or Red Steer on the pan (even if they were serviceable) - there's a metal container immediately behind the a/c and the reflections would cause an overload.

You could ask the same question of the Pitch and Yaw auto stabilizers, the Auto Mach Trim (which are only designed to operate above 20,000 ft.), the HRS, the GPI, the Auto Pilot, the Alt 6, the Alt 7, the MFS and the PWR. None of those will be used on taxi runs, but it would be great to get them all in a serviceable condition again.

And trying to achieve that end has one other massive benefit - it keeps me out of my wife's hair on Saturdays! \:D/

Which is at least 6½ or 4½ minutes longer than it would take using the jet-pipe heat. :ymdevil:

We can't help you out supplying any of the Auto Stab kit (ours is still fitted) and I think you have all the HRS LRU's that you need. We still have a large supply of Auto Pilot, GPI Alt 6 & 7 bits and MFS bits, so I suggest if you and Len get a list together VERY QUICKLY, it might be possible to get them to you before the end of the month, after which time I can't guarantee anything. :(

Many thanks for the offer, Oberon. :ymapplause:

Len won't be at Wellesbourne on Saturday, but we will both be there on Sunday for a party of visitors. I will make sure we put a list together and get it to you early next week. I am always available for visits to Hinkley in my role as MaPS Transport Officer (van hire a speciality). ;)

We all hope you'll be able to get past the month-end deadline with good news and smiles.

Well, Thank You, John - I'll have a good think between now and Sunday., then Eric and I can get a list together.

(I might need a bit of help with what's required for the Rad Alt 6 & 7 as it's well outside my original trade..)

Great work guys, all you need now is a few more feet on the runway & she'll be able to do a circuit instead of a fast taxi run!

I think you might find that she is SO WELL MAINTAINED, that would technically be possible! ;)

Although ALL of the AIR and GROUND CREW are SO VERY PROFFESSIONAL, that would NEVER be allowed to happen! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

But AVTUR is such a dirty fuel for cooking - at least cooking by ECM would leave the baked spuds and beans still edible ;)

I am a firm believe thqat if it is financially possible and the aircraft systems are in good enough condition then the aircraft should be restored to 100% as flown into retirement. It is much easier to look after when everythings working is it not?
