I was mearly pondering that if the trust owes him all that money (£144,000 is a big chunk of what is needed for the engineering work), of which part of the money being donated is possibly going to pay that amount and anymore remaining debt, so it was more a case of does he still technically financially own more of 558 than the trust, if so, why would he need to pay for it again i.e if it all goes wrong (not that I want/hope it does obviously, before I get accused of anything :D ), would he get it back virtually free and hence discharge any remaing debt.

Oh, see what you mean!

I suppose, yes, he probably has a claim to, at least, some of the aircraft, when the trust goes under.

Probably a good thing.

Takes some getting used to looking at the graph which is only updated daily but the pledge figures in the bottom table are live. At least things are moving in the right direction. While the donations from the Sunday hangar tours might not be earth shattering every penny counts.

I don't understand why they have a count down in days to the end of this month, but are showing the total pledge figure required by the the end of March...... seems strange to me - but as you say MR all moving in the right direction. Lets hope the visits are fully booked again this coming w/e.

Up nearly £21000, but only 9 days till the end of the month and a total of 40 days till the decision has to be made.

£500k by end of March is doable Whether they will let it run past end of Feb is the BIG question.

An extract from RP update dated 26 Jan...........

The nature of the tasks and lead times of the Winter Engineering Programme means that it may be possible to move forward having raised only part of the funds, as long as there is confidence that the remaining funds will be forthcoming.

So when new pledges reach the half-way point of £310,000 (a total raised of £490,000), we will review the progress of the Appeal. If we are confident the whole amount will be raised, we will call in the pledges to date to allow work on XH558 to continue.

To set a deadline, we need to see £310,000 in new pledges by the end of February at the latest, if we are not to miss the main airshows this summer

The present total is a little over £330K so another £158K is required in 8 days.

Personally I still don't have any bad feelings about her yet!!!

I think they should look and see how much per day is being pledged, and then work on the assumption that the same daily rate will happen, then take it from there.

At the rate pledges are coming in, then they I dont see any reason why the work should not be sanctioned, and the engineers given the go ahead......... :D

Given there's people here who've outright said they wont pledge/donate or whatever till the current management are gone, I'm surprised there's so much interest in what the stats are saying.

After all, previous posts would suggest that you think others can take over and do a better job so surely failure of the current system would be an advantage to that cause?

Just an observation.
This is my sig:

I hope it's not too inflammatory and I hope that certain people wont completely misunderstand it like they did with the last one.
