do you inspect the 'hot end' to check the TBC on the blades, vanes and the combuster wall?

I'll take the opportunity to have a better look at the LP turbine than I can get by crawling up the jetpipe, but no more than that. The hot end of an Olympus isn't something to mess with if you can possibly avoid it - lots of small stainless steel bolts that have been sufficiently cooked to shear rather than unscrew.

Our commitment is to respond to the concerns expressed by the OEM regarding possible catastrophic compressor failures. I don't plan to extend the brief beyond that.

WaddoVet wrote:You told me it was 7 1/2 buckets-full!

That was how we removed the debris of marine Olympus failures from the depths of the ship's intake structure. :))

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

He isn't holding the ladder, the ladder is behind him, taking some of the weight of the electrical cables to stop them pulling out.

I think the guy is Crew chief, acting (not surprisingly) as crew chief.
