Popping in is a 250 mile round trip just don't tell the wife. she was happy that it was an hour from my dads. must be the way that I tell her.

We will come up when the weather is a touch warmer, it was rather cold when we went. no hold on. it was blo*dy freezing.

Can anyone think of a better way to restore this:




I've approached the owners of the other aircraft, about a replacement radome, and have been met with silence, so, it looks like restoration is the only hope.

I've already sanded the fibreglass down and it's pretty smooth. What we were planning was, smother the area in polyfilla, sand it down to as smooth a finish as we can get, prime it and paint it. We know it won't look perfect, but, it's gotta look better than the toffee motif she's currently wearing.

Unless anyone's got a better way of doing it...............

Painting was put on hold due to....



The normal Brunty weather!!



So I set to a bit of cleaning.

After I didn't really make much difference with the cleaning, I went for a brew and got talking to James (Lad at brunty who, I think, owns most of the stuff up there) and he said we could have something quite handy.

Really good set of steps that are capable of going on the grass! HOPEFULLY the rudder will be done on Sunday!!

If the landing lights had bulbs in them, they would have worked too, I could hear them crackling. That's ALL external lights working now!

What could have been a washout turned out to be a fantastic day!!
