When you lot have finished sorting this all out, could you please let me know what is happening, because I am still intending to be in work tomorrow at 08:00 - to carry on my work. If you have more information than I do, please share.

It's just a few people having an Iconic Moment,
Oberon. Some individual on UKAR hinted at a
coup plot among some members of The Club,
is all.

So, what information DO you have???????

Well obviously, I don't need to be in tomorrow then, if UKAR has deemed that there is something going on it must be true!

This is all a very " Dan Brown conspiracy thing", as far as I can see. You have all whipped yourself into a self-induced frenzy that has little basis in fact. If any of you know anything that has a basis in fact, then please let me know and I can then spend Tuesday afternoon in the pub.

Until then, I will still be in at work tomorrow at 08:00, searching for the Lost Chord.

Maybe it is worth asking whether a more permanent form of funding can be established.

The guy is right of course I think everyone can see that but will it be pursued vigorously from the right direction. Then maybe just maybe 558s standing in the display world will be secure which after all is what we all would like to see .Now everyone face the National lottery offices and influence those balls for Saturday ,my numbers are 2,14,16,21,35,49.You at the back there yes you {S}hort {M}an & {X}mas {P}lays {L}ater your not trying hard enough =)) =)) =)).

OK....Lets put a stop to this now.... the club is not in a financial position to stage a coup... we have given all our surplus funds to support the Trust..... all we hold is the requisit funds to administer your club and maintain it's independance

Frankly I doubt if most of UKAR could stage a coup given a dictator locked in a small room sat on several tons of gunpowder, smoking a cigar and holding a sparkler! Anyway I reckon someone actually meant "soup" not "coup" and were talking about the Vulcan to the Pie menu! :)) :))

Hi,

I opened the Mail On Sunday and saw the Vulcan bit, it's like
deja Vu isn't it?

This all smacks of the boy who cried wolf!

They must realise that people will get to the point where
they think, "Here they go again, well they managed it last year
so I won't bother this year.

For me last year the highlight was the displays over 655 at Wellesbourne,
after the disappointment at not being able to get into Cosford the previous week.

I reckon that if it all folds 558 should return to Bruntingthorpe.

Lets' hope it doesn't!

Didn't a Dave Walton own the Vulcan at Bruntingthorpe before selling it to TVOC?

Surely the only way it would return there is if he bought it back, and at this rate paid for its leg to be put back on first?
This is my sig:

I hope it's not too inflammatory and I hope that certain people wont completely misunderstand it like they did with the last one.

Excellent! David Walton told us ('us' being the VTS Club people on the Autosport stand) last week that the Comet's getting a re-paint too :D :ymapplause:

No, THE David Walton had the presence of mind to purchase 558 from the RAF at the first END of her Display career!
