IL-2 Stormovik. Best attack aircraft of WW2, not the lame duck as often portrayed. Responsible for destroying vast numbers of enemy materiel, plentiful and once mastered, quite agile. Although shot down by the thousands, high production numbers anyway. Once pilot training improved with greater tactical awareness, the results were devastating. No wonder the German soldier called it 'Der Schwartze Tod'!

Well if things had gone the way they should have gone, I'd be saying the TSR, but, I suppose I'll have to settle for a Lightning, I'm not too fussed which one, they were all awesome!
NB; Any negative comments I post about the Vulcan are posted SOLELY to wind Gregg up!

My favourite aircraft has to be the two I worked on in the RAF as electrcal fitter. They were first the Lincoln, a big beautiful brute. I had many flights in them and always flew in the rear turret. One had a good view of where you had been and if you wanted to see where you were going, the turret could be turned fully left or right and you could look down the fuselage to the front. But in my mind, the Canberra was the best, I cadged as many trips as as I could. I will be posting back in "Tales from the RAF". I havn't posted for a while, Ive put Windows 7 on my computer and lost all "My Favourites" in the process, if everybody does that I might get all my addresses back.

Anything you care to throw our way is more
than welcome, Ken.

And actually, there's even some pretty good
free computer advice available on here if you
should need it.

Some of the OTHER advice I'm not so sure of....

But anyhow, it's good to see you back. Glad we
didn't lose you.
