Old home movies, no sound, but worth
the watch::::::::::::

Looks like the little helper landing struts
are tied to the deck for takeoff!

You Yanks will try anything on a carrier. I suppose it's mainly due to your carriers being the size of a small English county.

Really enjoyed watching that :D Looked like they were getting the hang of it after the first few bounces.

Apparently the hardest aeroplane to land. There was a brilliant vid on youtube at one point of dodgy landings made by would be pilots - not sure if it's still there and I don't know how to do links :( .........it was also accompanied by a song full of swear words!!

Edit to add - had a look and it is still there so, if you want to look it up "U-2 Dragon Lady: Landings" by Tomcatav8r. The music goes really well with the story but be warned it's got the F word plastered all through it.

Dan4th I had a cartoon idea around that subject which I thought would work quite well but never got round to it :(

Might revisit it when time allows :p
