Some new CF-18 Art

Postby ActionArt » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:16 pm

Hi All,

I know I haven't been on for a while but I'm been hard at work. This one started out as an experiment in combining digital and oil painting. A friend of mine, Robert Landry painted the Canadian scenery and I did the F-18s.

Let me know what you think of this look :)

Hi-res version here: http://actionart.ca/ForumPics/OnGuardWeStandPreview.jpg

The Typhoon project is about 50% complete. I'll post some WIP shots in the next little while.

Cheers!!!

Just a matter of wasting many, many hours pushing a mouse around...some people actually use their time to go out and fly these things :) I just got one of our pilots lined up to sign it. He was actually the first pilot to check out it the CF-18 back in 1982 (Laurie Hawn). I'm real excited about that!

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

(PS there's actually 6 if you look real close...)

Time to add a seventh one and make it harder to find!

Oh and get back to the priority job, the Typhoon which will lead to the TEMPEST!

PLEASE Len ;)

Thanks to everyone, I'm glad you like it. Not to worry, the Typhoons, and after that the Tempest is rolling along at the usual snails pace. I'm hoping the first Typhoon piece will be done just after Christmas.

I added IA to the links on my website so hopefully it'll bring a little extra traffic. I thought I did it some time ago but must have forgot.

Cheers!

PS - now see if you can find the guy with the shoulder launched AA missile sneaking out of the trees...
