Busy that night unfortunately! :(

Please spend the preceeding two days reading your
camera manual and obtaining a tripod for all those
lovely pictures you are going to take and post them
on here! :ymapplause:

I have a tripod - but don't like using it...

and I can't find my manual, I have feeling DT [thinking he's being helpful} has put it away somewhere as I always had it with me until recently & suddenly disappeared.... :(

actually one question you may be able to answer for me, on burst shooting the view finder freezes I assume while the pic is downloaded to the card. I know my camera is a cheapy conpared to yours but would there be anyway that I could turn off that freezing?

Oh & by the way i am working on ugrading ... :p

Your camera can take multiple shots as set out below, you
will need to set the ASA by playing around in the dark.
Then some trial shots before the event so that you are
happy with the results AND you really do need to get used
to using that tripod!

The high-quality, high-performance Venus Engine IV
supports a faster response time, allowing the camera to
shoot 2.5 shots per second at full resolution and 13 shots
per second in High-Speed Burst mode. In High Sensitivity
mode, the FZ28 can shoot up to ISO 6400 in extremely
low-lit situations.

The viewfinder freeze that you don't like is going to stay
I'm afraid. The mirror has to move and the data has to get
on to the card. A faster processing card might help, what
are you currently using? Size as well as speed is important!

Do bears you know what in the wood =)) =))

Been on my calandar since last years (there's an old thread somewhere if anyone wants to see the video I took, or just see EK web site, as they're using my vid too :D )

Am getting a lift with Cluny (if he remembers to pick me up this time :p =)) ) so he's going too :D

Just a word of warning, if it's anything like last year, the taxi it's self is in pitch darkness, unless they've got some lights this year, but the sound is out of this world, very very eerie. I had goosebumps, that were nothing to do with the freezing rain.

Approximate timetable for the day:

10am Museum opens
3pm Lancaster taxy run; chocolate fountain starts in the hangar
4pm Mask making workshop begins in the hangar
5.00pm Scare tent opens, Sam Sam the Bubbleman starts his bubble antics.
5.30pm Lincs FM presenter John Marshall arrives
6.00pm Lancaster Dusk/Night taxy run
7.00pm Fancy dress competition judging. Judged by John Marshall from Lincs FM.
7.30pm The launching of chinese lanterns
8-8.30pm approx Firework display
