Mackrick, I believe you have pinched the idea for photos 4 & 5 from someone else.

Thanks very much for your help this year.

Went down to look at the Air brake access panel and just took the photos on the way out. Didn't know they had been done before.

Thanks to the Engineers for putting up with me on Saturday and letting me play. Thanks to Rick for introducing me and superb pics from Sunday. Sad to see the display season come to an end. Look forward to next season. What a pleasure it has been to see 558 fly at all the shows I have been to. Great to meet up with "old" friends Ray. Still get the buzz when she flies. Oh yes! there is a silica gel oven in the engine bay. I will show you on Wednesday afternoon.

I can only reiterate the congratulations and thanks given already to the engineering team - just a superb season with outstanding servicability. Well done guys & girl!! :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Big thanks to the aircrew too!

Now, off to work at raising funds to keep you all employed so 2010 can see me trying to top my 2009 season totals of seeing 18 flights, including 10 full displays and 4 mini displays! :D B-)

Hi Rick,

Thought you might remember the original since you had only been looking at it 10 minutes before you went down the intake.

Image

You did say at the time you really liked the picture, I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

What's that? Oh. Quarter past two.

Yep. The boys were very good to me and let me wear one of their posh sets so that I could listen in on the crew too. :ymapplause: :)

Sedate, perhaps, but I notice they're getting
that gear stowed quicker all the time!

Thanks again, Smitty! :D
