Hope this works. Its actually from a French film called 'Les Chavaliers du Ciel', a Top Gun for the 21st Century of which you can watch the whole film on YouTube, albeit in either French or German. Love this video though.

Next one - yes, we've all seen it before (apologies for the swearing at the end). Not seen it on this thread though.

Lots of Low Passes in this one too. :ymapplause:

More later, back to work for me. ~x(

Thanks CF. Never tire of seeing the Spitfire one. The French film has some excellent camera work. :ymapplause:

I just stumbled across this ......

Didn't know what it was ... but then saw this .....

Here is a clarification on the name confusion. Allan and Malcolm were born with the surname Loughead. Victor changed his surname to Loughead shortly after his mother remarried. Americans had trouble pronouncing the name properly so the family changed the spelling to Lockheed. However, this happened after they moved from Santa Barbara. So "Loughead" is the correct name for this plane, but most people are familiar with the Americanised name and companies, "Lockheed".

and I didn't know that either :p

Funny what you learn - every day learning :D

blimey - I'd often wondered where the name originated! i know the hydraulic side of the business was formed a long while ago, but had never come across any other form of the name "Lockheed" at all - now i know why! :p

next you'll be telling us that Miss Sue P Marian started building Spitfires =))

Thanks, David!

What a lovely piece of work!

I knew about the "name" origin, just
never thought to mention it...

The Phantoms are my favourite planes ever :p Particularly the RAF/RN ones and the shape just looks mean purposeful from every angle. I am also just about old enough to have seen and remember them flying in RAF colours, though only in their last couple of years of service.

Lithuanian nut case :-o :-o How far is that fin from the water :-o

Lithuanian - Jurgis Kairys)

I know he has a powerful engine but he seems to nearly stall at one point [-x

On further investigation perhaps not a total nut case - just a bit of one - and he's the same age as me :D

I presume a "STUNT" like that would not be allowed over here!
