Well, I'm back and I have to say that was fun!!! I'm still trying to wake up, it was a long drive but here's some pic someone else posted:

http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/view ... page/1/15/

I'll have more later including some video!

I met a lot of really interesting veterans including a group of Mosquito crewmen. A Mosquito project is now inevitable. Right after the Typhoons :p Not enough hours in a year.

Cheers!

Yep, that's me. The veteran is a mid-upper gunner from the same squadron as the Lanc in the image. The older man from France signing the painting is the boy in the painting looking up at the burning Lanc. He actually saw it just like that. It was great to meet him!

Here's a link to some video I shot of the startup. There'll be more at some point:

It's just so wonderful to see another living breathing Lancaster :)
Thank you so much for posting the vid :)
I may have two living Lancs just up the road from me, but you can never have too much of a good thing :D in this case anyway :D
Which reminds me, I haven't seen my two girls for ages ;) :))

That's fantastic AA. It must have been an emotional event, especially for the French chap - it must have brought so many memories back for him.
