Spitfire news for Spitfire

Postby Mayfly » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:07 pm

I was reading your tale Spitfire about your guitar friend - which prompted me to tell my tale which happened this morning,

I was helping my sister move house today & she had help from her partners work colleague, a very nice lady called Elaine. We got talking as you do, and I discovered that Elaine is from the same small village where my sister & I grew up [tho' we didn't know Elaine]. It transpired tho' that Elaine is the granddaughter of Alex Henshaw the famous Spitfire test pilot - it certainly is a small world at times ... :D I often wondered if the Alex Henshaw I knew was him.

In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Gosh!

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”
