Dover 2009

Postby RobCM17 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 6:33 pm

Despite the windy conditions here at Dover today, Mikael Carlson managed to fly the Channel earlier on this morning in 33 minutes in his Bleriot XI beating Bleriot's time of 37 minutes :ymapplause:

Here's a few of my photos taken from today, and the height of the display given by the Stearman and Cliff Spink in his Spitfire...well a lot lower than any airshows I've attended so far :-o The display took place in the grounds of the Royal Duke of York Military School, prior to that they both displayed above the harbour at Dover.

Thanks Mayfly, I spent a bit of time playing with the digital filters in the camera and that is Infra Red effect using Black and White.

Thanks, I love the same one as Mayfly - very atmospheric. Did the Stearman lose somebody from the top wing?
