But Saracenman........

The SOONER they're in service, the more likely
there'll be a possibility of VC-10 preservation and
at least one example still FLYING!

Yeah, I know -- Mackrick will be here soon to say
"No Way!" just like he always does. But that's
okay 'cause he does it SO WELL!!!!!!!

I mean, wouldn't it be great if there were a VC-10
attached to the Arrows to follow them around and
carry all their people and stuff, etc.? This is not to
mention the refueling role when they go far, far
away in their travels. Sooner Aeroboose Tanker =
more likely VC-10 Survival!

whatever the reason, I'm certain they'll find an excuse to taxy it over a goat, or throw a donkey out of it

In your outbreak of stereotyping, you forgot fighting a bull with it!! :))

Actually, there's a Mags-toon in this, with the new tanker as a Matador using it's refuelling probe to dispatch the old VC10 bull...

Ah, but Arrows visit US and Canada from time
to time -- like last summer....

I used to have an ATC friend who'd give me a
call when something interesting was arriving
or leaving, but since 9/11 that has become a
no-no. Consequently, I miss all manner of stuff,
and this is with the end of the runway just a
mile from my house!

if there were ever a chance that a Ten might fly in civvy hands, I'd be amazed if it were to do so on anything other than a PtoF - much like 558, with all the limitations too

i CAN see the merit in a Ten 'support ship' for a flying Vulcan though :D

RIGHT YOU ARE!

As Arrows Support it could stay in RAF hands.

For Vulcan support, though, God Knows (!) what
the conditions would be from CAA!
