:ymapplause:

one of the most inspired designs ever! Geoffrey DH realised long before the gov't just what was needed and financed the development entirely 'in-house'. I've read before that Mossie production was barely affected by any bombing, unlike other a/c production, as most of the work was farmed out to the much under-utilised furniture business! genius!

i think I'm right in saying that the Mossie was the ONLY a/c to fly in ALL branches of the RAF, such was its versatility, and even flew with civvy markings. even you slimy Murkins used them for PR work :ymapplause:

it was such a tragic loss when the BAe Mossie crashed a few years ago. I've read of several potential fliers in the pipeline, but as yet nothing carved in stone; i LONG to see and hear a Mossie in the air again :)

DT was devestated when they lost her - she was also heading for BBMF & his hands
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.
