I know have a NEW Corgi XH558, taxied in xm655 during 558 Aircrew training (and due to be taxied again on june 21st by DT/MP) it includes a certificate signed by all aircrew :D

I also have a new HM forces Fast jet Pilot - 10 inch Toy (Taxied today, and will be again on 21st June and is due to be signed by aircrew).

All proceeds form the sale of these items will go towards the upkeep of xm655...

I have bids of £45 for the Corgi and £15 for the HM forces Pilot.

I will be taking bids for these items on here via PM's and similary on TVOC site until friday the 19th june @ 9PM. the highest bid will then be used to start the bidding at Wellesbournes Wings and Wheels 2009. At approx 4pm on the day the highest bid will win. P&P will be extra or you can collect from Wellesbourne on the 21st or any Saturday after that :D

The aircraft performed beautifully both for the XH558 aircrew and for us doing an EGR in the afternoon. We had our new 'official' photographer with us - http://vulcanxm655.fotopic.net/. What a great day - roll on 21st June! :)

great news - well done chaps!

personally, i can't wait until the 21st :D

it's amazing how much support you have given 558 - i wonder what 'they' would've done without a real live ground-running training a/c? :ymapplause:

I was thinking this morning - it did seem a little weird that 655 was 'out' & DT not involved, unless I'm mistaken DT first taxied 655 in 1995 & has been involved on her outings ever since until last Saturday [except the one time he was ill & didn't partake but we were still there].

Do you remember Mark sitting with us & Andy Ward in the Chequers at Ettington that first time?

Hi all.

We will finish off preping XM655 tomorrow and tow her down to runway 05 ready for Saturday.
Dave,Mike and Phil will then start her up and go for a short taxi around lunchtime (Saturday)to check all is well.
If the crew are happy we will put 655 to bed and prepare the market side of the airfield for Sunday.
Hope to see you all there.
I only do it with a long lead.
