question - why are there (on Airliners.net) so many pictures of RAF Tens at Gdansk, Poland? some are very recent too, so it can't be VVIP trips

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I've heard a rumour about 5 VC10's to be flown "Somewhere" ;) to be scrapped.

If it is true, I trust some of you will be joining me to witness their arrival

Wedgy and i heard the same on Tuesday Gaz :(

they are certainly being reduced to spares, one by one - the spares recovered are needed to keep the rest of the fleet going, but i doubt that the rumoured five will be arriving that soon - they're still working too bloody hard!

i imagine that Mackrick will know more about it than anyone

Not for the foreseeable future that's for sure. I do know where they will eventually go though but can't say.
