Got to admit it they all made me think would seriously have liked to have tried to learn Dutch but talking backwards would have to be easier ,found one that translated it as if it was a model on a stand don't thinkthat was right though.

The blurb on TVOC site says 10.00am and £15.00 for adults, whilst U16's are free.

Poster (commissioned and posted by 320psi) says 10.30am...

Latest indicative running order from 320psi shows an 11.00am first trip down the runway, so I'm planning on arriving around 10.00am to 10.15am!

Cheers,

Hi all, just to confirm gates open at 10.30am, but Im sure they will open up earlier if theres a que ;)

Running order could well be like this, we havent got together yet to do a running order, but .......................
(dont hold me to it ;) )

11am Hunter
11.30am Comet
12.00 noon Camberra
12.30pm Lightning
1pm Victor
1.30pm Hunter
2pm Bucc (camo one)(if its servicable )
2.30pm Bucc static demo (Navy one)
3pm JP
3.30pm Hunter or Iskra

This is all up in the air (not litterally ) at the mo and will change round, but it gives you the idea, I would say our Lightning 904 will run around 12-1pm

See you there and bring some good weather :)

Hi SM, we did really well on the our stall and cockpit tours, a very good day, it gets us nearer the 5K for the side cladding, we dont get a cut of the gate on the CWJ's day we just add to the day as a thankyou to David, on a bad weather day we loose money, but Sunday was good for our little project

Its our QRA day we need to get as many in as possible

To give you an idea we need another 15k to finish the shed after the front cladding is done and payed for.
;) ;)

Heres to the furture of open days ;)

that's great news 320 :ymapplause:

seeing just how far you've come so far, i have no doubt that you'll be tucked up in a nice warm Q shed in no time at all!

what's on the lit after the side cladding then? you have the generator sorted already, the doors are hung - what's left then?

Thanks sm ;)

Yeh the geni is in place, 'just' got all cable runs to put in now ;)

Right, next steps are thus:

1. Front and side cladding over and around the front doors (still got more steel to go in yet, probably tomorrow, so this stage is nearly done)
2. Window frame rails welding in place, window frame fitting, perpex panels fitted (all stored and ready ;) )
3. Side cladding, personel door frames and doors etc
4. Rear doors, renovation, bottom track cutting, bottom track manufacture, hanging them, getting them working ;)
5. Rear cladding and personel doors
6. Fit lights and lay cables and power to the place
7. Paint the inside frame silver (this will never end as wont getting the leaves out the gutters)

All the above is about £20,000 worth of work

Oh and all the other ground kit needs serious TLC

And thats about it really, sit back and relax :)

Well maybe not, with two Lightnings ;)

as a mere list 320, that's not a HUGE amount! must admit, i had forgotten about the rear doors - i guess you've only done 50% of the door task really haven't you :(

as for the rest though - especially the renovation of the ground equipment - you now have a large workshop in which to do it! ;)

still astonished at the whole thing though mate - from nothing to this...........stunning! :ymapplause:

Yeh, I still have to pinch myself every time I drive up and stand there and look at it all, never thought we would get this far when I stood at Wattisham on and frezzing cold December day in 1994, I just thought OMG how are we ever gonna do this !

But if you take these things in 'bite sized' chunks its all possible, but most importantly without Dave Walton supporting us along the way we would be knowhere ;)

We are well over the 'hump' now though both building and funding wise, £135,000 raised and spent so far ;)

I HAVE to echo that completely - I never even knew you were doing this till I got involved in the XH558 thing - and really only fully understood it when I saw your posts here - its totally amazing what you've achieved - and the best part is there is SO much evidence, growing before your eyes, of what you've done - a real legacy for the future too - you should all be SO proud. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Thanks very 'muchly' ;)

Its been a big learning curve, biggest thing I had built before it was a single garage and the odd garden shed
;) ;) ;)

Its been fun I must say, and coninues to be so, 15 years of work :-o ,
Whether actually building it or like most things the work that goes on behind it all, I could write a book about that alone ;)

Careful what you wish for, that would be a good seller I think.

Any way single garage/garden shed to Q shed I can see how that is a natural progression.

Next time I see you up there 320 I'll make sure I save you the job ;) :))

It's looking fantastic up there now! I was amazed at the difference as it was the first time I've been down to Brunty since you've had the doors put on. It all looks really impressive :ymapplause: :D

Hopefully I'll be able to pop along and see you on the 30th too :p
