Mental note to self - take spare trousers in case there is a need to change in the car park before the drive home again.

Hopefully (fingers AND toes crossed - yes I'm walking funny!) that I'll make it :D Not able to drive far yet - hopefully will by then.....

Wish I could go too :( in fact that weekend in general is just evil :(
It's either Brunty on the sunday or Eask Kirkby on the Monday and (sorry Andy) the C-47 display at EK wins that one (Just).
However I have got the QRA day and the other CWJ day in my calander ;) :D

Mister Cooper::::::::

You would know this.......

Have the Dutch Constellation people booked into
any of the UK airshows for this summer yet? I know
they've finally gotten their crew certification status
fixed, but they're not saying much about where they
will or might appear.....

Last summer was a total CX, so you ought to be able
to see them this summer ------- maybe.

Thanks,

Dan4th

and this from the museum's own news page here:

Aviodromes Lockheed Constellation and Douglas DC-2 ready to star in European airshow season

Lelystad, the Netherlands, May 20, 2008 – On Saturday May 17th, Lockheed 749 Constellation N749NL ‘Flevoland’ was rolled out of the exhibition hall of the Aviodrome–Dutch National Aviation Theme Park and Museum at Lelystad-Airport. The Constellation ‘Flevoland’ is the only remaining flying example of its type in the world and will take part in the European air show season. The Constellation will fly next to another ‘Mohican’ propliner, the Douglas DC-2 ‘Uiver’, which is also the last airworthy example of its type.

ah yes - well spotted D4th :ymblushing:

i have found this also, but it's not a massive help i'm afraid =))

Yeah, I know, but their website is Generally
available in English as well. It's just that for
some reason the site isn't updated as often as
you might LIKE -- hence your boo-boo......

One would THINK they'd want people to KNOW
where and when not to mention being ECSTATIC
about finally having their mechanical and
regulatory issues settled......

Waddo, huh? That means there might be MORE
in UK!

A loose translation used an online tool so don't blame me that it doesn't read right No wonder i can not speak dutch

Translation: Dutch to English
The most beautiful plane, `ever devised the best driemotorige plane *, the `Grande lady of Dutch aviation… It are some expressions which the Lockheed Constellation describe. Everyone whom ever knowledge has made with `Connie will not forget that moment rapidly and it will stand in many memories as beautiful memory gegrift.
The Lockheed Constellation had stood for years on the list of priorities of the Aviodrome and have been since 2002, after almost a year and a half work in the desert of Arizona, as a component of the collectie of the Aviodrome in Lelystad to find (to see old updates).
The Aviodrome want fly a lot gladly in 2008, with this unique plane to show the Connie to the Dutch and European public flying. We can use your aid thereby good (to see here). We you will love the coming time on altitude the progress.
