I'm guessing this is a one-of-a-kind aircraft
built for a specific purpose or function....

Am I correct?????? To test-out some system?

Murkin? Or Murkin-based (obviously...)

wrong on all counts actually D4th - not a one-of-a-kind, nor for testing anything - and it's not Murkin either!

the engine could be though, but that's about all i think

Alright, how many have been built?

Are they intended to carry fare-paying
passengers???????

i don't know the exact number built D4th, but they were manufactured for some years. fare-paying pax? well i see no reason why not - i also imagine that some 'passengers' may have been carried that hadn't paid themselves - in fact such pax wouldn't even have pockets to carry the ticket!
