I wonder, though, what altitude(s) she will
be likely to get to?

Her limit now is, what, 17 to 18 Thousand?

Don't suppose she'd do much more than 20,
though, not being pressurized....

Danf.

Her limit is 15,000 feet, due to her flying unpressurised.

So, they are close to 40 per cent of
both goals combined and with about
312,000 raised and 488,000 left to go....

One is left to wonder what kind of
ultimate deadlines we are looking at
here and what needs to happen by
what date to keep things moving
ahead?

I mean, where do they need to be by
the end of Sept. or Oct., say, to not
be throwing in the towel?

Danf.

EDIT:::::::::::::::::::

I just did some quick calculations in my
head, and if money keeps coming in at
the present rate, they will be at a little
over 500,000 in eleven weeks at the end
of October......

That would be 63 per cent of goal with
another 9 weeks left until 2014....

Would that be enough????

I wonder.....

I was sent the survey from them (do you think we should continue) and sadly I felt compelled to vote no as I can only see he continued operation of her going one way, being stranded somewhere without a full set of engines to get her home, but no doubt they will continue the good fight and keep her going so we shall have to sit back and see how it all unfolds but I have gone way past the point that I feel happy to support them further with any money good luck xh558 :)

Such a shame, after all the hard work to get her to Shoreham and particularly Bournemouth where the local VTTS club members raised the booking fee themselves !!
She has been totally reliable this year, until now, a tribute to her engineers, who must be gutted.
Fingers crossed for a speedy repair , lets hope she can manage at leat some of her remaining shows. So glad I saw her yesterday, she was magnificent and howled wonderfully.
Get well soon XH558, and I hope that many on this forum will join me in sending a donation to help her recovery :)

I hope that it is fixed soon, but I personally don't think that she will fly again this year. I hope to be proved wrong.
Last time I saw her fly was at RAF Waddington in 2011.

Just a hair over 48 percent....

Roughly £46,000 per week needed...

Doable, but iffy :(

At the current rate they'll be at +/-
85 percent by end of October....

One of those things unfortunately.

Depends on what it is that's leaking, I know they have said a tank and the last time it the tank bag had to come out and it took 2 weeks to repair.

We'll just have to see. The engineers won't be the only ones gutted.

Nothing official released. Possibly on Tuesday?
If it is from No 7 tank, how easy is the fix (depending on whether it is the tank itself, or plumbing).

Thanks Bovril. If it is the tank, then my statement that she won't fly again this year stands. It looks like we'll have to wait for an official announcement whenever it arrives.
