Trust Chief Executive Robert Pleming said today: "Our training and display schedule this year calls for XH558 to fly at the end of April, prior to working up the display for the new season. I'm sure that every one of XH558's supporters is behind us as we progress towards this objective.
However, I'm very concerned that this schedule is at risk, because I think it's unrealistic to expect that we will now get much closer to our end of March funding target by Monday morning. XH558 is in excellent condition and is within a few weeks of being able to take to the skies - we desperately need everyone to pull together to raise the remaining funds needed to ensure she flies as soon as possible.
I urge everyone help by signing up to the remaining Testing & Training and Insurance shares. There are over £60,000's worth outstanding, representing a large proportion of the funding needed to reach first flight.
I have to report to the Trust's Board on Tuesday 9th April. I very much hope that you will help me ensure that the message I take to the Trustees will be an optimistic one."
