Just a quick note to say that www.superguppy.co.uk has just gone past 11,000 hits!

I continue to be flabbergasted by the interest in the old girl!!

I don't think they're coming to film the guppy. They just wanted permission to use my photos/videos. She said it will air early in the new year

I just fell of my chair - thought that said 'she will be in the air early in the new year' =))

amazing how quickly the latest 1000 hits has come round, seems only a few weeks ago we were celebrating 10000. excellent interest in her

Gaz and Andy. Don't forget there are quite a few people, like myself, who get their updates here now and don't visit http://www.superguppy.co.uk as often as we perhaps should. :(

Gaz any news re moving BTGV to a more (photogenic) spot?

I would so love to see her move under her own power - but I guess that will never happen. :(

Well done to all the guys there ... for at least giving us another Iconic Aircraft to photograph... :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

David Walton has said that we are having our own pan custom made. That patch of grass by the gate (Where the mystere is currently parked, but, has housed the green jag in recent times) will be our permanent home. Big enough so we can get the lift to all parts of the aircraft and with it's own power supply.

HOWEVER, Dave (and god knows I love the fella!!) says a lot of things. I really do hope it comes off though!

Ah, but if you don't visit the site you won't see all my gimmicky roll over images etc!

I was wondering with the next update (must do soon) if I should include a few quotes posted by visitors to Brunty, anyone said anything nice about her that I could use?

We get A LOT of "I can't believe this ever flew!" , "So, what did it carry?" , "It's like a cathedral" and, my personal favourite, "Bloody hell!"

do you have a visitors' book for people to sign and comment ( and ask for their e-mail addresses so that you can send them updates)?

I can't remember which forum it was on but someone quoted his kids were in love with the Guppy after the CWJ day in August. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: here you go Andy it was on UKar

http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=47246&p=466427&hilit=guppy#p466427

If you ask him perhaps he would give you a quote.
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

I think it's clear that Everyone Loves The Guppy!

Even people who ordinarily don't give a hoot
about aircraft just fall in love at first sight!

I'm sure this is why DW hopes to put her in
a more prominent and suitable location....

Not bad for a Goofy Murkin Bastardization :p

BTW: Do you guys have any good info on her
pre-Airbus life and activities????
