I ventured up north on Sunday for the 2nd day of the Southport Airshow - primarily to see the Vulcan. Please be patient while waiting for me to get those images processed. Meanwhile here's a link to the first few photos I took featuring The Red Arrows.

Having had the Reds display cancelled twice on me this year due to appalling weather - both times over Southampton Water it was great to finally see and admire them again.

and as a teaser I've uploaded the first shot of the Vulcan XH558. Well I say its the 1st but it's actually the last one and was taken as the bird flew past Blackpool Tower. It's a pity the weather didn't play ball as the mountains of the Lake District would have made a good backdrop.
