Just got buzzed at fairly low level by a Spitfire \:D/ \:D/. Small display followed by wing wave as she headed out towards Stamford. It was EB G. The one with the yellow diamond on the wing.

I had her on the Scanner all the way to E.mids, Waddington said mind the gliders at Langar, so I'm guessing they went down the A46 =))

Cluny just said on facebook she's been over Silverstone.

I'm just glad someone else heard something and it's not me going mad.

I would have said it [whatever it is] doing large circuits as it seemed to be regular as opposed to a constant noise level.

Someone has just said that XH558 was near me, before going Sleaford direction, then to Waddington on the way back. May see her over Spalding on 8th September, but won't know where it is routing before I leave the house in the morning of the 8th.

Not a bad guess :D :)) I thought it might have been over the airfield visitors centre, but close enough :)) :))

We were lucky we were on the river road and had a good view over the fields, 5 minutes earlier/later and we'd have missed her.

South bound on the A1 yesterday near Newark were 3 RAF Cadet Gliders being towed in their little trailer things.
