IconicAircraft.co.uk XH558 Pledge

Postby Wedgy » Sat Feb 14, 2009 2:56 pm

I have been personally stirred by the stories and press releases recently regarding 558's urgent plight. Therefore I have got off my backside and pledged a 3 figure sum on behalf of IconicAircraft.co.uk this morning.

When *fingers crossed* the pledges are called in, 558 will be the first good cause we support from our forum donations. At present there is £0 in the fund for good causes, so I have made this pledge fully aware I may have to take the hit for the full amount personally - and am quite happy to do so! But, any profit in the pot from donations at the time of pledge calling will be put towards the IconicAircraft.co.uk pledge.

So the pledge fund is really doing well, lets help the surge of pledges.

In addition to my pledge on behalf of Iconic Aircraft, on top of my personal pledges ......

I give you the following golden opportunity.......

If any users of Iconic Aircraft forums donate any additional pledges totalling the following, I will carry out the relevant actions :ymdevil:

£50 - Ban Tom.com for another 24 hours
£100 - Ban Tom.com for 24 hours AND ban SM for 24 hours
£150 - Ban Tom.com for 48 hours AND ban SM for 48 hours
£250 - All of the above AND publish video evidence of SM playing guitar hero :ymdevil: =))

Who would have thought, at the time of posting the above, how close we would be to the target :)

I have been truly flabbergasted at todays donations to IconicAircraft. Therefore I think it only right and proper that 558 is the first to benefit from Iconic Aircraft's charitable donations.

I haven't worked out the math fully, but for the moment I will consider the Iconic Aircraft pledge to 558 standing at £50, I will make up the rest.
I believe this figure reflects a balance ..... the fact that the people that gave today, gave to IA, not 558 (I'm sure they have supported 558 separately). Therefore, it secures IA's finances as per the donors wishes, but benefits 558 as our first charitable donation by skimming some funds off the top ;)

I hope you are in agreement? :)

As long as you don't go short and Iconic is costing you personally only a minimal amount then what you do with any residue is up to you old bean :-bd
