I was hunting through a load of my wifes grandads photo's and came accross this.

I know it was taken at RAF clifton (a maintanance depot that worked on the halifax) and was bombed during the war (must dig that photo out)

Looks like a Whitley with a 1000lb deep penetration bomb.

What a wonderful find - thanks for posting this up :) I've just got a little 1.144 diecast Whitley model - very nice it is too !
