Twin radial engined plane going south!

Postby Woolwinder67 » Sat May 26, 2012 5:05 pm

A bit of a long shot this but last Wednesday, May 23rd, I was on a beach in Jersey and heard the distinctive sound of radials overhead. The sky was fairly hazy, I don't think it was a Dakota, it didn't sound quite right for that but looked about the same size. It was mid afternoon and it was heading south.
Any ideas anyone?

Thanks Cluny, could well be as it was a straight wing design.
