Mach Loop

Postby Mayfly » Wed May 02, 2012 8:36 am

Where is the Mach Loop please. We are visiting Wales in a couple of weeks and whilst we can't stay in the area thought I may be able to 'get lost' and need to detour.

If your health is not the best you can access Cad East via the farm gate and travel up the East side, shutting all the gates behind you, when you get to the top you come to the wooded area and a further gate. there is limited parking here, however it is only a short walk to the edge. i have highlighted the route on this map.

Cad East for undersides, Cad west for Top sides...........
Traditionally the extra effort to get to Cad West seems worth it.

XPL: Thats probably true... although on the other hand... imagine an F-35 low level!

Dan4th: Well, that's what you think! It's a pretty long story as to why I won't be going (unless I save up and pay for the fuel myself :( )

Well, there's that.......

And you could always try to put together
a GROUP of friends to split the costs....

You're getting old enough to do things on
your own with a little initiative....

I still say you could do it if you REALLY
wanted to :D

The idea of saving up myself might work on second thoughts, If I have about £45-50 than that should be enough to get there and possibly camp overnight :D

But it's just an idea

The practice flypast is scheduled for 10 - 11.30 so too early for us as it's a 5+ hr drive so I'm not inclined to leave home at 4.

Apologies for bringing this up again, but...

... I think I may be going in just over a weeks time!

Hopefully doing Cad East then Cad West, then sleeping overnight at a nearby hotel and then doing Bluebell or Bwlch the next day! :D

Can't wait!
