I took 2 80 year old ladies with me yesterday and they loved every minute :) . Couldnt answer a question from one tho..At the car park end of the runway there was a strange looking red and white vehicle with like a glass observation top to it... Must be summat to do with landing etc cos i noticed it went up t'other end of the runway briefly?
2nd Q.. Where all those Tiffies ours? or where some from foreign lands? cos i didnt think we had that many?

The Red and White van is the LOCAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER, he's looking out for various safety related problems, one of which would be spotting an aircraft landing without its gear down. :D

and yes all those Typhoons are "OURS"! ;)

The LATC also prevents tragedy. Pity they didn't have one in South Africa. We'd be a pilot and Lightning better off if they did. ~x(
