Very nice :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Is that another project in the background, tantalisingly out of focus? :-?

Yes, very nice, looks like a KC135 in the background! ;)

Ok so its not an aircraft but thought it would be of interest anyway.

Time to open the stash and start work on an Airfix Prairie Tank. I'll add some build update photo's as I go but for now here are a couple of general pics :)

I was quite surprised that the decals settled so well considering they are 6 years older than myself :)

Really great to see all these built models - I have a loft full of them from the 80's all unmade in their boxes. Must have a look through them some day. As for the Chipmunk - I've never flown a tail dragger. As for the Prairie Tank - lovely model looking forwards to seeing it built :)

Love that little Chippie, brings back some happy memories!
Thought I'd share some of the old kit restorations I've been doing. A friend was tasked with disposing of a collection so I rescued a few of the models.
Firstly the B-29, before
Image
And after
Image
F-102 before
Image
And after, as QF-102
Image
Starfighter before
Image
And after, in US colours. With a restored Luftwaffe one to keep it company too
Image
I've also been busy with an OOB build of a Matchbox Jag
Image
And 2 Meatboxes. Both Mk.III's, I was given the kits but decided I didn't want 2 the same so I raided the spares box and converted one to a Mk.8!
Image
And, seeing as someone else has brought up the subject of railways, I've also been busy restoring most of this little lot to presentable, running condition

XPL, I don't know why but I don't seem to be able to say no to a lost cause. Like this Airfix Invader...

Came out like this

And that is a genuine colour scheme, a weather research unit IIRC. I didn't just make it up, honest!

Very nice work Blue - pity I didn't know you did this as a mate of mine disposed of loads of his models in a skip a couple of weeks back - I was horrified as there was some lovely stuff in the mix.

I've never considered salvaging "Dead" models that I see at our local car boot, all the time. I wish I had now, these are great!

I've been thinking about adopting a rotation policy anyway. Got some others in the loft I've not seen for a while
