I haven't got that much..... DAD...

[Dangerousdave]

For £44 grand I'd want to be in the co-pilot seat!

[RLN]

I'll have to look under the matress

[Tom.com]

do you know how long it lasts for and would you get to do aeros after?

[Wedgy]

Would be a missed opportunity if something like that hadn't been done.
I'm loving the ideas coming out of the club

Will say it again - VTTS is MIGHTY

[Mayfly]

do you know how long it lasts for and would you get to do aeros after?

it's a 30 min trip for 4 in one sortie = £11,000 per person - I doubt you will get aeros - you think your dad will cough up then?

Personally I think hes a really nice chap....................................................

think of me if theres a spare ticket going

Why thank you Pam........most generous of you to say so.

(Still ain't got £44k for a jolly).

He wants me to fund his flying lessons..............................

[Spitfire]

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that if the total fundraising target of £1,000,000 is not met, the flight will not take place; as such this lot and any associated bids will be null and void and no transaction will take place.

But how sh*t is that - some poor supporter wins the thing - gets all excited ....and then they pull the plug

[Tom.com]

yeah but if it goes for a lot then they won't have to worry

That's ominous!

[Mayfly]

well it may have been taken off ebay but it seem its still available through the savethevulcan.com website

[Wedgy]

Most likely eBay didnt like it, as they were selling something that might not even happen.
I could sell the Aston Martin I am going to win next month .... same thing

I thought that was the one you where selling before you had even ordered it

[Dangerousdave]

Maybe they put it on there for a couple of days publicity. They woiuld have to pay commission if it sold on there which I am guessing would not be cheap.I still reckon it's WWAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY too expensive to fly alongside it. You can buy a second hand static Vulcan for around 5k and sit and look at that all day if you wish! To be honest, is your average millionaire going to be shopping on ebay for bargains anyway??????

[Mayfly]

I agree DD it is expensive, for a 30min trip / 4 it equals £11,000 per flight but then again it's not aimed at the likes of us & by the time fuel & expenses etc are paid for, for 5 aircraft [bearing in mind 558 would be airbourne for approx 1 hour] the 'profit' could easily be halved. Plus I imagine it would something they would like to keep 'exclusive' .............so maintaining a higher price.
