SEEKING ANY RAF SURPLUS

Postby Firebird56 » Fri Dec 23, 2011 12:03 pm

Hi

I am and Adult sergeant volunteer with the Air Cadets at Rochdale (1263 Sqn) and am seeking anything raf / aviation surplus to requirements that we as a squadron could have for our building.

I am obviously willing to collect should anyone have anything that they feel they could donate to us for our cadets to enjoy now and in the future.

Thankyou

Errrm Actually the Sqn can survive short term without a 'boss' but it cannot survive at all without a CWC, so I'm using that to trump you. :D

In fact the CWC secretary is all powerful.........

Touche! - CWC sounds as if you have an interseting realtionship. Ours is very good and supportive but dont think "we couldn't survive without one"

Did you get my PM?

But after that I will resign from this group - that is the first time in 12 years i have had such a comment from anyone associated with the RAF Family

Has there been something put in IAs water today?

Not noticed any PM's.

FTR No CWC, No sqn. That's what the rules from HQAC say.

Going to the gym with the cadets tonight. One of our mums' is a personal trainer and she gives up one evening a month to try and kill us............. She calls it circuit training, we call it wholesale murder. =)) =)) =))

Sounds like a fun evening =)) Sorry PM went to Firebird about surplus RAF kit

Now I understand what you mean about a CWC - you are quite right. Ive always had one and great they are just doubled in size and now very active. I know of some who are very hostile toward staff and try to run the non welfare side of things - cant be very pleasant.
Regards and have a good evening ive an AFIsoon so weekend at SQ ahead for me

I'm not a snob Pam - well, only when it suits me especially when an officer needs putting back in his box for pulling rank. You must know the types and no doubt you've experienced them in your RAF career? I indeed was a cadet and it provided the basics required for that foot in the RAF door. I admire the work carried out by the Air Training Corps organisation and their work for the next generation of RAF recruit.

Attn: Flt Lt FTW

Sir, one wholeheartedly apologises if you found ones tongue in cheek VRT acronym disrespectful and a discredit to you or the Air Training Corps whom which you serve. There was no offence meant. One is inspired by the dedication of ATC officers and one fully endorses the service you so humbly carry out.

I have the honour to be
Sir,
Your obedient servant....

5. Who do you hope to get to help you? :p

It means wring my neck Dave. He is a very violent man that Nickolas chap - it is a shame and really unnecessary on a friendly forum such as this. Luckily, I am not so easily offended and on this occasion I shall forgive his threatening remarks. :)

Well that's what I thought, but knowing him I thought it unlikely that it would be safe to make such a presumption! :-o

So now you have to keep out of the way of the Taliban and an avenging driving instructor from the Essex/Herts Borders, a well known ROUGH area! =))
