Thanks, Minty, that in-cockpit vid
is very nice.......

BUT!

I have no doubts that they will get
their money and the salaries of the
top two will be paid and that she
will fly next summer.

Biting my tongue, here.........

I don't think the news is any surprise tbh. The appeals always start off very slowly, it will be interesting to know how long they expect the servicing to take.

I have just asked that question on the 'other forum'. I wonder how long the servicing will take?
Did I read that they are looking at some event for Falklands 30th in April?

At last weekend's Members' Day we were told that the servicing would be split into packages in the way the RAF did when she was the VDF aircraft. This will enable currency flights between servicing phases instead of anti-det runs, subject to having sufficient funds to pay for fuel.

1 Servicing will take about 4 months ;).
2 The prize for an engine run. I cannot go for it, as I do not have a driving licence or a passport :( :(.
3 I will purchase a couple of CLRs :), but not until I can afford them :(.

I just got that email, too. Always gives me a sinking feeling, but it's been done before, and I'm sure it'll be done again.

I am sorry to say this, but I really dont think 558 will be flying this year, so stick the reserve fuel in her and send her to her new home.................... ~x( ~x( ~x(

Got to be positive, Gordon. No matter what our personal feelings, we have to support our girl. Whether it is monetary or passionately.

I do support her emotionally but not financially due to not being in work, and for reasons that have been stated before which I wont go into again to avoid any confrontation ;)

people at this moment in time cannot afford to donate because they HAVE to live............ :(

I can understand £100,000 for CLRs and £100,000 for lost shows last year but where has the need for another £100,000 suddenly come from? I have posted this on the Vulcan Facebook page, to see if it will get an answer.
I agree with you Gordon. I am out of work, but will donate what I can, when I can.

Minty, you keep your money to yourself. I can understand the passion that drives you, but you surely need the money more than 558. She'll be OK. She will fly.
