Old Warden, 2-10-11. Part 2 - pic heavy

Part 2 of my photo extravaganza from Old Warden yesterday:

The oldies from WW1 put on a good show

The Be2 and Fokker Triplane were visitors which fitted in well with the resident aircraft

The Lysander flew off to display elsewhere (don’t know where) and had an avionics problem when it returned, It was fixed in time to display as the evening sun got quite low so the light was better (during the display I used a polarised filter to reduce the glare and to enhance the colours)

And then as the sun was setting and the wind dropped, the Avro Triplane and Blackburn monoplane both flew – worth waiting for:

The Cygnet was on static display all day and then did an air test as it was getting very dark, I failed to get a reasonable photo of it flying.

Finally as it was getting dark I decided a comfort break might be wise before the journey home and on my way for said break noticed the hangar lights on, so I went back for my tripod and took these 4, first of all the Rapide was outside waiting to be put away

Then these three of the hangars with the aircraft under the artificial yellow light:

And finally the Rapide was put to bed:

No, I didn't I'm afraid - wish I'd realised. I was using my camera on a tripod and a time exposure of around 3 seconds, in the Rapide pic in the hangar you can see the Shuttleworth ghost behind the port wing :)) , I took one of theAnson and just as the time exposure went off they started to move it again, I was taking the pics on a 2 second delay using the timer to avoid camera shake because I'd left my toggle lead in my car.
Didn't see you around , whereabouts were you?

Thanks for comments Dan, I was very pleased with some of them. I thought it might be a gamble using the polarising filteras it might spoil the sharpness but didnt lose much at all and the colours came out very nice, I've not enhanced the saturation on some of them at all and others only very slightly. One of those days when the weather was kind for a change

Looking at your pics compared to my vids , about 50 yards to your right [I was sat behind the gap between the Jungmeister and the BE2] :))

that would be about right, I was between the Whitney straight and the chipmunk until they displayed at which point I had a much bigger gap which allowed better landing / take off shots!
