XN728 Lightning

Postby Mayfly » Sun Sep 11, 2011 10:09 am

XN728 Lightning the lighting that has stood on the side of the A1 for years is no more - she was scrapped yesterday!

Left to rot and a complete eyesore for 2 decades it is a little sad that that land mark is no longer there, even if it's the best thing in the long run. :(

It was never nice passing over the years and seeing it getting worse.

When my lads were younger I always won the I-spy here, one of those items put in the history books and forgotten.

Well I know it's true because he has posted on flypast that he has, by all accounts he will have his work cut out to restore it!
