Victory Show 2011

Postby Gaz » Fri Feb 11, 2011 9:18 pm

After a break last year The Victory Show is back.

It's one of the best I've been to. The airshow was fantastic with Sally B, 558 and more Mustangs than you can shake a stick at. The WWII re-enactment was one of the best I've seen and it's barely a mile from my front door :D

Seriously, if you get a chance, you should get to this one. It's cheaper than every other airshow, I think, and you get so much more besides.

Advert over ;)

Grown ups do ;)

However I was stood next to a family in 2009 who had some young children and when the Vulcan came over and the bangs went off, the ittle girl started to cry, so ear defenders might have helped there ;) :D for me you understand =)) =))

Just read this on the website:

We have many new attractions this year in our ever increasing effort to provide something for everybody!

We have installed a minature train track, have many stalls for our ladies, new & extended viewing areas for the public, lots of exciting treats for children and we have opened up 12 acres of woodland for our re-enactors (we have made this as accessable as possible, but it may be a little tricky underfoot for anybody on wheels - we will help where we can! - Do not be put off in the slightest by this - Please speak to our staff in blue if there are any problems!).

There promises to be new excitement in the battle re-enactment this year, which is the biggest in the country of its kind and is spread over 40 acres.

This year we have the largest armour collection ever to attend The Victory Show which consists of Heavy Artilliary, Tanks, Half Tracks and more!

Our 1940's Land Army display is a new addition with working farm machinary to be tied in with an exciting air display....!

Quite excited about this one!!!

I'm up Croft hill for the airshow, one day and I'm taking the family in on the other. Don't know which way round yet, depends what XPL wants to do ;)

Oh I hope to be there on both days in some way or another, your plan looks good so far, let's start to plan a little nearer the time, I have already booked the time off! Both with work and S.W.T.S.M.B.O! ;)
