Unknown hulks

These two were rotting away somewhere in the 80s.

Any ideas what they were exactly, and where?

The first one would appear to be a Jet Provost T4

2nd one I have not found anything like it yet

Edited: wrong colour scheme for Red pelican display team aircraft

The JP could have been from this era - but that doesn't narrow down it's history

Pisssstttt DT's flying in there somewhere! :p

To be honest guys I got that far myself. Does anyone know, or can hazard a good guess, as to the identity of these airframes? I am trying to accurately catalogue my scans and I need more info other than just 'Unknown'

Thanks for giving it a go though. ;) It's my fault for not keeping better records. :(

Edit what an incredible array of JPs!! Where was this ;) PS Hate that music though. :(

I don't think so as I took this photo in the mid to late 80s.

Apology not necessary. Thanks for even trying. ;)

I have between 2000 and 3000 slides which were stored in totally inappropriate locations and the local field-mice couldn't believe their luck - hence I have hardly any notes left. ( They built glorious nests with them). :(

I am now trying to catalogue some of the best remnants.

I was thinking of making this a quiz topic like the 'Identify the Car/Bike' topic but I can't as I do not know the correct answers :( . However I will know it when I see it. Like the Unknown Mustang thread. Cluny confirmed my suspicion that that photo had been taken at the UH 1991 Sky Pageant.

looks like the Cvix has '102' on the nose, I was looking through the book 'Wrecks and Relics' just a minute ago. If i get the chance i'll look again ;)

EDIT:
They are taken at Cottesmore Dump.
The Sea Vixen is XJ582 '702' and it departed Cottesmore in December 1991

The JP is XM375 and it arrived in July 1990

So going by that your photos were either taken in 1990 or 1991. :)

Once again thanks Oli. These were in a 1980s batch of slides, obviously by mistake. It's an age thing!! :(
