Radome has been moved to the Beech restoration hangar TO START THE WORK NEEDED ON IT!!!

Got tired of waiting for a definite answer from the French, so, we're using, the best part of £500 from our open day takings to pay the Beech lads to do it!!

DEFINITELY be done by the August open day. Should have it back within a couple of weeks.

:D

Another finished section

Had a wander over to the Beech hangar to see if I could see the radome. It's in their, undercover, outdoor workshop, so I managed to get a peek. They've made a start, the inside has been re-skinned already. It looks like they're building up layers. I don't think it's going to take them long :)

Thank you!

Without you, and everyone else who visited us at the last CWJ day, this couldn't have been done. I'm incredibly grateful!

We'll leave it at the high gloss white, at least, until it weathers. Then it'll probably revert to grey.

Next up, the repair at the rear of the fuselage needs solid riveting (Next few weeks), the nose leg is scheduled for repair before the end of the year (hopefully before the end of the summer) and, in the next month or so, myself and a few of the Beech lads will start acid etching her belly, then she'll be painted light grey from the cheat line down, all the way round.

And there's always coloured bands to paint ;)

and now I've done some catching up as well, finally managed to do an update on the superguppy website, link at the bottom of the home page www.superguppy.co.uk

I hope the wait has been worthwhile, most of the info has been posted here by Gaz but I've put it all together on one page, apologies for my adopting a Lord Lucan status
