That's a lucky escape all round, by the looks of it.

Does that photo look fake to anyone else though?

In what way?

It's a different pic to the one I first saw.

Aw, Crap!

Glad no one bought it, but this is
a real shame!

I'm guessing bad fuel.

Only a guess, though..........

I know what you mean Gaz. I think it is real but it just does not look right to me either (if that makes sense).

Glad everyone appears to be ok. Shame to lose such an aircraft.

$430 seems a bloody good price for a ride in one though.

Glad everyone got out. Shame if it can't be restored, at least to a static display. I wonder if there will be repercussions on the other flying examples, I don't know how may there are but it can't be many. The picture does look odd, maybe a black and white photo would look more authentic ;)

They've changed the picture now to include the tail section. It is real, no question!

Looking at the pictures, that sort of 'burn out' usually means that the aircraft had a successful crash-landing following a localised (engine?) fire, ie the airframe did not collapse catastrophically before it landed - it all appears to be ,relatively, intact.

Hence the crew/passengers got out before the fuel and alumin(i)um fire became well established.

Hoping for a tour round Sally B at Waddington [provisionally arranged] will be even more poignant now!

Having looked through those pictures, it would seem that the FIRE CREW stood and watched!

I wonder if their policy was that as no human life was at risk, they should not endanger themselves!

Please do not view my comments as critical, I was not there and wondered if that was the way things are at rural airports in America.
