Lyneham Closing

Postby SnailRFC » Fri Jun 03, 2011 11:25 am

Hi all

Does anybody know what the plans for Lyneham closing are at all?
I'm assuming they will move everything over to Brize over a short period? Does anybody know if there is anywhere nearby to view from if/when this happens at all? If so, are many from here going?

Although I drive along the M4 regularly, I've never actually been over to have a look, but it will be quite sad to not see the Herc's buzzing in and out on my weekly commute to Reading. :(

Hercs are definitely going to Brize!

The planned date of CLOSURE is........December 2012, FLYING will have ceased by SEPTEMBER 2011!
