can I ask what lens` people will be using for the taxi runs themselves................ ;)

I plan to take 2 bodies, one with a 18-70 short zoom for static shots and the 70-300 for taxi shots......... :D

I had her on the scanner take off from Doncaster, and followed her all the way to Market Harborough but we were too far east to see her.

Oh and cupcakes are baked, just going to ice them ;) :D
I will remember them :)) =))

Well I used a 100 - 400 and a 17 - 85, but then I wasn't standing with the crowds! ;)

Now 558 is confirmed, it will be mayhem.

I have heard a few people say similar, they think the rise in numbers of the crowd could spoil the unique feeling of the CWJ Day. I won't be there so matters little to me but would be interested in thoughts after the event.

Well it was busy - I'd say at least six or seven times as many cars were there. I thought the atmosphere suffered a bit, but they did make an effort to have things going on between runs.....cars running up the runway, flypasts (not a display ;) ) by JP and Venom, and a brace of Sea Kings. Still silly queues at catering and toilets and selfish gits with stepladders.
Didn't see many people (due to the crowds, it was easy to walk past people); did talk to Naddy, Rach(a)el and Gully; saw Garry (not to talk to) and there were good queues at the Guppy.
Nice to see and chat to Andy - cheerful and informative as always, and it was a nice touch to have Martin Withers and Bob Tuxford speak about Black Buck over the Tannoy.
As usual the runs were brilliant, especially the Lightning (not biased at all) - the blue touchpaper was definitely lit :D All in all a good day out but with the added "Vulcan effect".
