Could be down to availability of the crew
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

I think so. It's a different crew flying her out. I believe, Martin is flying her in and Kev, is flying her out.

ALSO.....

DUE TO THE EXPECTED CROWD LEVELS, THE GATES WILL BE OPENED AS SOON AS A QUEUE FORMS.

Just out of interest, how full/busy would it have to be to close the gates?

I doubt very much that Dave would turn anyone away, but, any more than 5000 and we couldn't manage the traffic, sustenance or sanitation IMHO.

PS: second butty wagon is being organised to keep the lines down

My commitment to attend is fading fast. :(

Now 558 is confirmed, it will be mayhem.

XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

That's what I was wondering about, the parking and what not.
Going to be cramped on the crowd line if they get anywhere near 5000 ~x( :))

Even 558 isn't helping my cause =))
Told mum 558 was going and her response was "I've already seen that" =)) =))
Need to think of another angle =)) =))

Crowd line is being extended, almost as far as the pillbox/windsock. The grass behind the Guppy is being used for parking AS WELL AS the usual area, we're introducing pay lanes inside the airfield to stop the queues building up outside.

Now, if only you knew somebody inside who can get you in early and allow you to exit out of the "Alternate" gateway :-?

Also, for the first time I can remember, the grass strip will be closed as soon as the gates open, all arriving aircraft (And there could well be some interesting ones ;) (not JUST a vulcan) ) will have to use the main strip. This is because, in the past, we've had anoraks kneeling on the grass strip to get a photo of the arriving aircraft, they said they didn't realise it was an active runway!!

This is starting to feel like a pretty serious show!

And I just love it! :D

Tempting fate here but it actually looks like I can make it this year (assuming I'm not rota'd to work). It's my eldest's birthday but i'm sure he won't mind. Finger's etc crossed.
