Apparently BBMF's Dakota is due an air test today \:D/ :ymapplause:
Just a heads up to anyone in the area ;) :D

I don't have any times or anything, and the weather is looking pretty miserable.

Fingers crossed they bring her this way ;) :D

They spent all afternoon working on her, but they "Couldn't sustain ----------- pressure for longer than 30 seconds" so the flight was scrubbed.
I don't know what the missing word was as I didn't catch what they said :(

Several off-topic and improbable suggestions (and some vaguely possible ones) have been deleted to keep the thread tidy.

Apart from XP's suggestion of hydraulic pressure as the problem, the other obvious possibility would be fuel pressure. I guess unless someone else heard the comment, or has access to the crew, further speculation is pointless (hint hint).

I'm sure there will be an update at some point, I got the info of the flight from the BBMF's twitter feed, so the lady in charge of twitter might say later or tomorrow what the problem was.
The conversation about what ever the problem was came from the pilot talking to Humberside tower/ground (on both my scanners :)) ).

They did do a full engine ground run after that transmission, with what I would guess was engines up to 100% or something close, that's what it sounded like to me accross the other side of the airfield anyway =)) =))

One other thing I fogot to say, unless she hasn't been in the spray shop yet, she's still in pegasus squadron colours (or as I like to call it AI colours :)) :D ).
But as I say, it could simply be that they haven't coloured her in yet ;) :))

I realise nobody cares =)) :p , but the missing word is/was FUEL :)

And they are still trying to sort it, did a number of low power engine runs this afternoon.

Oh well, I reckon that's this year's allocation of good guesses used up already. :))

=)) =)) surely it was an educated guess ;) :ymapplause:

If she does get back to Coningsby on th 1st of April, I'd hope get on to it as soon as they can???

I have her out and about last year mid march (17th), but of course she was in the BBMF hangar then so can't really read too much into it.

PDA day I have as the 24th, 27th and 29th of April. Hopefully it'll be around the same time this year ;) \:D/
A couple of days before might be nice, like the 21t for example =))

In other news, apparently Spitfire MK356 also failed her slow power engine runs :)) (wasn;t thre for that though, got that via twitter ;) )

That's fair enough. Like you say though, it never seems to be at the "Big" shows. Other than at Coningsby, the only time I've ever seen it fly was when it, randomly, flew over Bruntingthorpe one afternoon
