Support XH558 with First Flight fuel....

Postby XH558 Press Office » Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:11 pm

Starting this week, we are building up a range of ISP's (Individual Sponsorship Packs) designed to allow you to support specific funding ahead of the Display Season and ensuring we remain on track towards the 2011 season.

Find out about supporting FIRST FLIGHT FUEL here: http://www.vulcantotheskystore.co.uk/ca ... cks,i.html

Thank you for any support that can be given.

I'd love to know why it's such a BIG secret! Maybe Knowledge is power!

I too have wondered why it is such a big secret.............. :(

I personally cant see what harm it can do to divulge who the trust have been in talks with as regards her new home, even if it is only for this season........... :D

They've probably been told not to by the airport/base ;) they are going to. If you're told to button it you have to button it.

Surely it would be great for 558 to welcomed home to a Former Vulcan base by true supporters.......... :)

And with it being an airport, I am sure it could cope with hundreds if not thousands of us wanting to say welcome home. :D

Might have to do a pack up and get my folding chair out............ ;)

Why is it a big secret?

Maybe because someone in the trust likes to be `In control` :ymdevil:

Its like being back in the RAF in my old trade which had the nick name of `Mushroom` because we were kept in the dark and fed on bull$h1t =))

If it is to be a secret, then why are the media being invited to the arrival? So that the trust can use the media to ask the public for more money? All fuel packs have now been sold.

I didn't say they were. But if for contractual/safety/not stealing their thunder reasons the other party asks (tells) you to keep quiet, you have to oblige, or put the whole deal at risk.

The same sort of thing happens in business all the time. I have to keep buttoned about all sorts of stuff I work on even though I see no reason for secrecy.

I heard on the vine that Robin hood was a strategic site for the old girl, that was the rumour around last year.

I got B*LL*CKED years ago by the infamous Rusty for mentioning Robin Hood as her "NEW HOME" on the GOOD OLD TVOC Forum, not the poor relation it is now!

we plan to hang around the area tomorrow too, going to visit Walkers Garden centre http://www.walkersnurseries.tv/ and also a general mooch around the area and see what happens..............

The weather looks like it is going to be fine so hopefully we may hear the sound of `owls`.........

The cameras will be with us of course, so a visit to the airfield (I take there are veiwing facilities) could be included too........

@xpl............

Walkers nursery is in Blaxton which is at the North end of the airfield, we were at the YWP yesterday and saw a couple of big jets taking off that direction, :D

I should imagine that if a `heritage jet` was going to land there, then it would make a couple of passes before landing, which would be good...........
