A few from the past and MAM Coventry.

I am guessing this was at Yeovilton in the 80s. F86A.

The F100 Supers had afterburners and the heat scorched tail was due to the fact that the afterburner jet pipe was also the outer skin ie unlike most afterburning a/c , like the Lightning, which had the afterburner jet pipe within the rear fuselage skin.

Thank you Ian!!! :D

FU-178, that the Sabre I stalk every year. So sad that there's only 1 in the UK and that 1 may be off the the USA shortly :(

I love the shot of the scorch marks on the tailpipe, very colourful!

Thanks again \:D/ :ymapplause:

Love the Super Sabre too, the Danes had some wonderfully "tired" looking examples and Flight Refuelling used to fly them over here at one point!

The F86 is the only a/c I take a photo of every year and she never she lets me down! :))
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.
