For people into the Sci-Fi aircraft there is a company called Sci-Fi Airshow. They display aircraft from some of the classic Sci-Fi movies and TV series.
They have display aircraft like the Vipers from Battlestar Gallictica and the Eagles from Space 1999.
So if you like Sci-Fi aircraft i suggest you look up
http://www.scifiairshow.com/guided-tour.htmlAnd take the guided tour.

I've seen that site before. There's a lot of work gone into those machines.

Very interesting!

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”

I remember it being re-run when I was, about, 3. Mum and Dad have got an 8mm cinefilm of me dancing and singing to the theme song. Sadly, it's on 8mm, so you'll NEVER see it

I think from my perspective SADLY is the WRONG term to use!

I had read years ago about a Viper that the Air Force had that could fly, but it had to be dropped from a mother ship since it could not take off on its own.
Also when the first F-16s came out of production the pilots wanted to call them Vipers.
